Living Yard Acropolis is on Lempesi street, in the Makrygianni district, on the southern slopes of the Acropolis and right by the Acropolis Museum. It's one of the most central yet calm neighbourhoods in Athens, with neoclassical buildings, traditional kafeneia, modern cafés and tavernas, all within a stone's throw of Plaka. The location earns an excellent score from guests (9.4), confirming just how convenient it is as a base for exploring.
On foot, the city's great monuments are an easy walk away. The Dionysiou Areopagitou promenade, which wraps around the Acropolis rock, begins a few metres away and leads to the Odeon of Herodes Atticus and the entrance to the archaeological site. The Temple of Olympian Zeus and Hadrian's Arch are about 250–300 metres away, while Syntagma Square and the National Garden are a fifteen-minute stroll.
